04 Aug MY Self Wellness Podcast, Psychedelic Radio, Aims to Destigmatize Psychedelic Therapy
For over 20 years, Charles Patti battled addiction and struggled with anxiety, depression, and self-hate. Until one day, a chance encounter with Ketamine and a Ketamine-induced divine experience changed the course of his life forever.
Now, Charles has dedicated his life to sharing the values of Ketamine Therapy with the world. Charles and his fiancee, Christina Thomas, have started a podcast called Psychedelic Radio, where they interview other incredible individuals whose lives have been changed by psychedelic and Ketamine Therapy.
Psychedelic Radio
Psychedelic Radio aims to illuminate and destigmatize the use of psychedelic medicines and provide real insight into the paradigm shift that is forming around how mental health is treated. Charles & Christina work in the field of Ketamine Therapy, using a therapeutic dose (which induces psychedelic healing). Tune in and hear how psychedelic medicine is being used to treat a myriad of mental health issues.
Destigmatizing the use of Ketamine Therapy and other psychedelic medicines is an important part of Charles and Christina’s mission. There are many out there who, despite numerous studies recording its benefits, still view Ketamine as a dangerous party drug.
And so, out of this desire to continue their mission of illuminating the population on the benefits of psychedelic medicines and Ketamine Therapy, Psychedelic Radio was born
“Like so many others who have been through trauma and addiction, I found myself lost and unable to cultivate healing. I spent many years hiding from myself and unable to understand how to create a joyful, purposeful life. It wasn’t until I incorporated therapeutic psychedelics into my regime that I began to see a transformation. My goal is to share my story on a global level to encourage others to try ketamine therapy and begin their healing journey,” says Patti.
“We believe patients can transcend their traumas and let go of obstacles on every level of physical, psychological, and spiritual blockages,” adds Thomas.
In the first episode of the podcast, entitled “An Introduction to Psychedelic Radio”, Thomas and Patti give listeners an insight into their histories with psychedelic medicines and what led them to open their Ketamine Therapy clinic, MY Self Wellness.
“The Presumptions Made About Psychedelic Medicine” is the second episode of the Psychedelic Radio podcast. In this episode, we learn about the many misconceptions that surround psychedelic therapies as well as the misinformation that continues to be circulated through the media. Charles and Christina also discuss some of their own experiences with different psychedelic medicines.
The third episode, “Treating Lyme Disease and More With Psychedelics”, introduces us to Charles and Christina’s first guest, Sean Casey. Sean is a client of MY Self Wellness who received help treating Lyme Disease and transverse myelitis with Ketamine Therapy.
Sean had undiagnosed Lyme Disease for roughly four years before finally receiving a diagnosis. By that time, however, he had had Lyme for so long that it had developed into transverse myelitis. He was unable to move his legs for a time, and one morning, woke up and had to call out to Siri to call 9-1-1, as he was completely unable to move
“It’s not Lyme directly that bamboozles you. It’s your body’s reaction to it. And I had an autoimmune response to Lyme Disease called transverse myelitis that made my spinal cord swell from C1 to C6. Typically, people do not recover from transverse myelitis. I’m aware of eight or nine folks that I found in research ever that had any sort of distinctive recovery,” Sean said in his interview.
The podcast has released three episodes thus far. Join in on the discussion of psychedelic medicines and Ketamine Therapy by listening to the podcast on CannabisRadio, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or iHeartRadio.
